Former Governor Enrolls For Theology At Open University
Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, was one of those who matriculated at the National Open University, Oshogbo campus
A former governor of Osun State, Chief Ọlagunsoye Oyinlọla, on Saturday joined former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a Theology student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Olagunsoye, a former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was among the postgraduate student matriculated at the Oshogbo campus of NOUN. The PDP stalwart and retired Brigadier-General is studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology. According to media reports, the former governor said he chose to study Theology in order to know God more. He also reportedly said he could become a preacher subsequently. He joins Chief Obasanjo who enrolled for a Masters Degree in Christian Theology in September 2014. “I’m going back to school because I have to have something to aspire to in every endeavour of life," Obasanjo said at the time. The ex-president first enrolled at NOUN for a Post Graduate Diploma in Christian Theology in November 2006, graduating three years later in 2009.
